Career

Ana Mirtha Sariego is an actress, director and theatre maker. She has performed internationally for more than eighteen years, specialising in movement and collective creation, and teaches two methodologies she built from her own practice.

An international career

She trained at LISPA in London in the Lecoq tradition, then spent thirteen years performing in the United Kingdom, specialising in movement and collective creation. She has since acted from the National School of Drama in India to Teatro Solís in Montevideo.

Both her methodologies are her own, built from that practice rather than inherited. The Devising Process is the collaborative method she teaches internationally. The Alchemical Body treats the body as a space for artistic and personal transformation.

She is the artistic director of Sariego Theatre, the company she founded in 2010 and still leads, between London and Madrid.

Alchemical Art is the therapeutic side of the same enquiry. She is a founding member of Mycelium, an international centre for the arts and consciousness now being established.
